Who is responsible
Dana Rodgveller, trading as tiny signals, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. That means I decide what data is collected and why. You can contact me at hello@englishclasswithdana.com.
What I collect and why
- Family and student names, to know whose classes I am scheduling and charging. Basis: performance of our agreement.
- Contact details such as email or phone, to arrange classes, send receipts and answer questions. Basis: performance of our agreement.
- Family code or access link, which acts as your login to your private page. Basis: performance of our agreement and my legitimate interest in keeping pages private.
- Class schedule and payment records, such as dates, amounts, and whether a class is paid, to keep accurate accounts and comply with tax obligations. Basis: legal obligation and performance of our agreement.
- Messages you send me, to provide support. Basis: legitimate interest.
- Basic technical data such as IP address and device information created automatically when you visit, used for security and to keep the site working. Basis: legitimate interest.
I do not sell personal data, and I do not use it for advertising. Card details are never seen or stored by me.
Who I share data with
- Paddle, my Merchant of Record, for the sale of classes, payments, invoicing and tax compliance.
- Service providers that host this site and its database, and email delivery tools used to send receipts and notices.
- Professional advisers, such as an accountant, where needed for tax and bookkeeping.
- Authorities, where I am required to share data by law.
International transfers
Some of these providers are located outside Argentina, including in the European Union and the United States. Where data is transferred, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long I keep it
Payment and invoicing records are kept for as long as tax law requires, currently up to ten years in Argentina. Scheduling and contact details are kept while we work together and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You can ask me for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to certain uses, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority, and I will answer requests within one month. In Argentina you may contact the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública. Just write to me and I will help.
Security
Data is protected with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and private, code protected family pages.
Cookies
This site uses only essential cookies and local storage: one to keep your family page session open, and one to remember whether you prefer English or Spanish. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings, although clearing the session cookie will sign you out. The checkout provided by Paddle may set its own cookies needed to process the payment.
